Blood Storage
Kinder Hospital has an additional blood storage unit to handle extra blood requirements during emergencies. We source both positive and negative blood types from our IMA mother blood bank, which are utilized for our patients after cross-matching as needed. This additional blood supply may be necessary for situations such as heavy bleeding during delivery, gynaecological surgeries like myomectomy and hysterectomy, or intraoperative bleeding. If anaemia correction is required before surgery, additional blood units will be arranged by us. We also provide extra blood for severely anaemic preterm babies and fresh frozen plasma for newborns with bleeding disorders. In short, we take care of all blood arrangements ourselves, so you don't have to worry.
